The Neurodiversity Design System set out to stop treating neurodivergent users as an edge case, building cognitive variation into the baseline of interface design rather than retrofitting accommodations after the fact. This talk covers the origin and reasoning behind the system, why it matters for how we design by default, and what its next evolution looks like.
